Event Details
Join National Museum of Civil War Medicine’s John Lustrea to explore how the Civil War changed how Americans thought of the human body, both dead and alive. During the war many individuals died horrifically far away from their loved ones. This program will explore how the 1860’s was a time of discovery in the medical field and how dissection played a key role in the expanding of medical knowledge and practices.
