Mulberry Hill Farm by Casey Higgins

Families flock to Shenandoah Valley farms each fall for the thrill of the pumpkin hunt, the mysteries of the corn maze, the tasty flavors of the harvest, and the gorgeous hues of mums in full bloom.

Endless View Farms, Crimora, VA

 

This family farm is bursting with fall fun and features a lot of Spookley the Square Pumpkin themed entertainment. A giant jump pillow, hay slides, and apple cannon are additional highlights.

  • Hours: Saturdays and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Prices: $15/person (save $1 when purchased online); children 3 and younger are free; $12/person for military, teachers, seniors, and healthcare professionals

Back Home on the Farm, Harrisonburg, VA

 

Virginia’s largest fall farm festival atmosphere is found at Back Home on the Farm. It’s all you expect to find and much more, including a zip line, carousel, pig races, giant slides, larger-than-life board games, and great food. This farm is home to the Virginia Pumpkin Festival held two weekends in October.

  • Hours: Open Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.; Saturdays 10 to 7, and Sundays noon to 6. Some activities not available weekdays.
  • Prices: $12/person weekdays (save $2 when purchased online); $16/person weekends (save $3 when purchased online); children younger than 2 are free; grandparents free with a paid child admission (only available at the farm)

Mulberry Hills Farm, Mt. Crawford, VA

 

With beautiful views all around, Mulberry Hills Farm is a picturesque location to get your fall decor and pumpkins. Check out the numerous photo ops to capture the memories. Hayrides are offered Saturdays and Sundays only.

The Farm at Court Manor, New Market, VA

 

Of course a visit to the farm makes you feel good, but The Farm at Court Manor has an added boost this year: Community Fundraiser Night. Each Friday night a different non-profit will receive $1 per ticket AND they benefit from setting up a concession stand.

  • Hours: Open Fridays 3 p.m. to dusk; Saturdays 10 a.m. to dusk; Sundays 1 to dusk
  • Prices: $12/person; ages 2 and younger are free. Each child 6 and younger receives a free small pumpkin.

Hill High Farm, Winchester, VA

 

The Pumpkin Patch at Hill High Farm is an annual favorite destination for many families, as Hill High is a Virginia Century Farm, having operated within the same family for at least 100 years. Enjoy your hay rides in the daylight or at night; bring a flashlight!

Fairview Fun Farm, Luray, VA

 

Open to the public only during the fall season, Fairview Fun Farm is a fun weekend excursion. Unique to them is the opportunity to fish, with the bait included! Paint your own pumpkin Saturdays at 2 p.m. when you purchase a pumpkin.

  • Hours: Open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Prices: $8/person; children 2 and younger are free
