Held at the Turner Pavilion, the long-loved Harrisonburg Farmers Market shifts into full holiday mode in December. The 2025 Holiday Market runs on the first three Saturdays of December, 9 a.m. to noon. Expect an expanded selection of artisan goods like handmade wreaths, candles, herbal self-care items, and jewelry alongside the market’s usual bounty: pasture-raised meats, eggs, produce, maple syrup, baked goods, coffee, and more. Everything is locally grown or handcrafted by the vendors.

Staunton Farmers’ Market Winter Market | Staunton

In Staunton, the farmers’ market transitions to a “Winter Holiday Market” for December. Shop December 6, 13, and 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Browse local produce, handmade goods, and seasonal gifts in a festive, community-oriented atmosphere. Shopping this market is a great way to support local artisans and producers.

Art for Gifts | Staunton

For a more refined, arts-focused shopping experience, don’t miss this long-running holiday showcase running November 21 – December 28, 2025 (Tuesday through Sunday), 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Staunton Augusta Art Center transforms into a festive marketplace featuring one-of-a-kind jewelry, original paintings, hand-turned woodwork, textiles, ornaments, gift cards, and much more — perfect for unique holiday gifts.

Winchester Winter Village | Old Town Winchester

Set in historic Old Town and spread along the pedestrian mall, the Winchester Winter Village is a European-style Christmas market runs Friday, December 5 through Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Hours & Highlights:

  • Fri, Dec 5: 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. – Santa’s Pub Crawl (charity event) & gallery holiday market.
  • Sat, Dec 6: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – vendor stalls, 12:00–5:00 PM Kinder Village with Santa & the Grinch, complimentary horse-drawn wagon rides (weather permitting), and more.
  • Sun, Dec 7: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – final day of vendors and family-friendly fun.

Expect candlelight, glühwein or hot cocoa, carols, artisan crafts, and holiday charm in a picturesque, small-town setting.

German Christmas Market at Bluestone Vineyard | Bridgewater

The 14th annual “Weihnachtsmarkt” at Bluestone Vineyard is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendors will showcase handcrafted goods, seasonal bites, and drinks (including glühwein), all on the scenic vineyard grounds — a lovely blend of rustic charm, holiday cheer, and local artisan spirit.

Wade’s Mill Christmas Market | Raphine

This German-style Christmas market is set at the historic grist-mill grounds of Wade’s Mill – Virginia’s oldest continuously operating commercial grist mill – December 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors will find unique handmade gifts, artisan crafts (often locally produced), holiday atmosphere, and free admission and parking.

Christmas Market at Stable Craft Brewing | Waynesboro

The Country Christmas Market at Stable Craft adds a fun, family-friendly vibe to the holiday calendar in Staunton. According to local holiday listings, the brewery hosts a Christmas market and visits from Santa or other festive characters.
