Did you know the Shenandoah Valley AVA encompasses all of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia as well as Botetourt and Amherst Counties in Virginia’s Mountain Region, and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties in West Virginia? From a visual perspective, the AVA is snuggled between the Blue Ridge Mountains on the east and the Appalachian and Allegheny Mountains on the west. The Valley is a long-known sweet spot for agriculture, and grapes have been no exception. Visit any of the Shenandoah Valley wineries to taste for yourself.
