What’s All the Fuss About?

Capon Springs is often described as a camp-like setting with a schedule and plenty of activities to engage you mentally or physically … or not. The wondrous thing about this all-inclusive resort is that both extroverts and introverts thrive at Capon. It’s quite easy to retreat to a hammock, rocking chair, or wherever you want to devour that novel you’ve been eager to read. Oh, and there’s no cell service at Capon. (#winning)

Family is the keyword at Capon. It’s family owned, family operated, and you’re treated like family when you visit. Meals are offered family style and on a set schedule. A dinner bell rings to bring you to attention for the next meal gathering (and you can even get it as a ringtone for your phone).

About Those Activities …

Nine holes of golf in a beautiful setting, fishing ponds, tennis, pickleball, pools, trails for hiking, badminton, basketball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, ping pong, disc golf, croquet, Caponchase Adventure treasure hunt, Capon CLUE Escape Room (new for 2022), and the amazing Hygeia Bath House & Spa are among the organized and on-your-own things to do at Capon Springs. Watch for other special opportunities like horse-drawn carriage rides, astronomy presentations, and live music.

The Hygeia Bath House & Spa uses the natural spring waters on the property that have been said to offer healing. According to their website, “The word Capon is derived from a Native American word that means ‘medicine’ or ‘healing waters’.” Try the traditional step-down soaking bath to “take the waters” yourself. It’s a wonderful way to relax and you can bring a friend or two for a private 30-minute soak. Massages are also available.

What Are the Sleeping Arrangements?

The “camp-like setting” we mentioned above extends to the lodging as well. The 14 cottages feel like home with community bathrooms and living rooms in several of them. If aren’t into that type of getaway, worry not. There are more rooms with private baths than not at Capon, and there are several cottages available as a true home for families to reserve unto themselves. For a private couples’ getaway, inquire about The Log Cabin. It’s intimate with one bedroom and one bathroom, perfect for two.

The President’s Cottage is newly renovated for the 2022 season. The team has combined the smaller rooms to create fewer, but larger rooms with their own private baths. Each will sleep 4 or 5 people, and the two downstairs rooms will be accessible.

More to Celebrate in 2022

Capon Springs and Farms officially opens for the 2022 season April 28, but two pre-season opportunities give you early access!

Capon Springs and Farms is celebrating its 90th anniversary all year long starting with the 90th Anniversary Celebration Weekend April 21-24. Be treated to live music, an outdoor movie showing historic footage, a campfire singalong and hot dog roast, and more.

Prior to the Anniversary Celebration Weekend is the 2022 Easter Eggstravaganza weekend is April 14-17. A two- or three-night inclusive package offers a special incentive: all kids under the age of 13 who share a room with two adults are free for the weekend.
