Barren Ridge Vineyards

Located on the family’s former apple orchard, Barren Ridge Vineyards is now home to Augusta County’s premier winery. John and Shelby Higgs converted their old apple packing barn and transformed it into a state-of-the-art winery, tasting room, and event facility.  They used reclaimed wood and preserved the charm and character of the original structure. The tasting room features wonderful wines that are available daily for complimentary tours and tastings.

Barren Ridge hosts a number of events throughout the season.  Every Saturday and Sunday soloists come in and play music in the tasting room, usually playing folk, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, and acoustic rock covers.  Check our website or Facebook page for current events.

DIRECTIONS

From Interstate 64:
Take Exit 91 off of I-64 (Fishersville). Turn onto Tinkling Spring Road heading towards Fishersville.  Turn left on Route 250 West. Just past the Food Lion turn right on Barren Ridge Road and follow for about 3 miles. The winery is on the left at 984 Barren Ridge Road.
