SVTA Committees
Committees formed pursuant to the - 2011-2015 SVTA Strategic Plan - All members are encouraged to participate. Listed are the three primary goals of the SVTA. Please contact Allison Dugan for Committee assignments and more information. allisond@comcast.net
-
Ensure a well managed organization
-
Build Brand Equity & Own and Promote the Brand
-
Maximizing the regional economic impact of tourism
We have your investment in tourism and a valuable organization to continually promote and grow through membership and volunteerism. These committees require limited meetings, input from a diverse group of members and your expertise to fully realize the benefits of tourism to your business and the region.
Please consider volunteering:
SVTA Standing Committee – Long range planning and recommendations
Strategic Planning Committee - Based on the SVTA Strategic Plan adopted in 2011- this team will go through each of the three goals found within the SVTA strategic plan and draft recommendations and action items for the Executive Committee and Executive Director to achieve each goal. Each goal should be evaluated individually. Short and long term action items will be required.
Revenue Review Committee – The committee will evaluate current funding that supports SVTA. Other businesses and organizations similar in size and scope to SVTA will be researched for any new revenue ideas to fund operations. Potential new objectives (as listed in the Strategic Plan) and will be recommended to the Executive Committee and Executive Director.
Ad Hoc Committee – Specific Goals and work product
Membership Dues Restructuring Committee –This team will review the existing dues structure of the SVTA membership and then compare those with other regional and statewide associations of similar size and scope. After the review process is complete, team members will draft a proposal for the Executive Committee including a new dues structure and potential area for new member growth.
90th Anniversary Committee -2014 will mark the 90th year of business operations for the SVTA! This meeting and celebration will focus on a historical review of the past decade and other special meeting elements. The team will meet throughout the year to plan all aspects of the event and ensure it is a successful, meaningful, and joyous occasion.
